Rachel's is like having your Mom cook your meal! Best cornbread in town, and the vegetables are awesome as well. Everything, including the service, is a cut above at this little Mom and Pop. Prices are more than fair! Try this lit'l diner once and you'll be hooked!

If you're in the Athens area, this restaurant is a must! When they say southern food, they mean it! This place came highly recommend and they didn't disappoint. They serve fresh corn bread to you while you are waiting. Hot out of the oven fresh! They were buttery and flaky! I ordered the country fried steak with collard greens, green beans, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Ughhhhhhh it was all so good! The best country fried steak I have ever had. Back home they smash the hell out of the steak and make it all paper thin. It's so thick and tender here. The white heavy on top is perfection. From the sweet tea to the Mac and cheese, everything was fantastic! If you want a good, hearty southern meal, Rachel's is the place to go!!
Food is always on point. Great customer service upon entry and the waitress, the meatloaf is my go to.
